
Gretchen Calachan
Au.D., CCC-AClinical Audiologist
Dr. Gretchen Calachan, Au.D., earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington, Seattle, and clinical doctorate in audiology from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is a licensed Dispensing Audiologist in Arizona; a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA); a member of the American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA); and a member of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACIA).
She completed her fourth-year clinical externship with the Adult Cochlear Implant Department at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, one of the most active cochlear implant centers nationwide. Post-externship, Dr. Calachan has worked in both ENT and hospital settings. Her clinical expertise is centered on comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and bone conduction hearing devices for patients age 18+.
Dr. Calachan is committed to providing excellent care by staying current with the latest advancements in hearing technology, research, and best practices in audiology. She is passionate about educating her patients and their families about hearing loss, and helping her patients make well-informed decisions about their hearing care.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Calachan enjoys hiking, boxing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
