
Manikandan Sugumaran

Dr. Manikandan Sugumaran, M.D., is board certified in otolaryngology and completed a fellowship in laryngology, care of the professional voice and swallowing disorders at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Grabscheid Voice Center. He attended Youngstown State University and Northeast Ohio Medical University for a Doctor of Medicine and completed residencies at SUNY – Stony Brook Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell.
Dr. Sugumaran has special clinical interests in the management of early laryngeal cancer with the CO2 and KTP laser, benign vocal disease, management of the professional voice, dysphagia and airway stenosis. He is experienced with in-office procedures for vocal paralysis, dysphonia, and spasmodic dysphonia. He actively sees patients from the Arizona Opera.
Dr. Sugumaran is an active member of the medical community and is on staff at several hospitals, including
Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Banner University Medical Center, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Surgical Center and Banner Desert Medical Center
In his spare time, Dr. Sugumaran enjoys listening to a wide and diverse range of music, watching sports and movies and spending time with his wife and three children.
